The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
In the course of testing, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It has impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the touch of a button. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will get better with future models.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration that blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice statement but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map your interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire house efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine the areas that require attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. The mopping system is better as its spinning pads scrub floors better than the vibrating pads.
The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is larger than many of its rivals and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.
For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. mop robot vacuum mopping settings that it has that are less powerful than high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on if it comes across one.
What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at notifying you when something is in need of attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.
You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that must be cleaned out frequently, like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the top performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors in the first go. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend cleaning them off with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you can want. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It measures over two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.
Lastly lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to manage it even when not at home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature which allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of just following a set path.
The X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and vacuum robot that comes with a variety of convenience features you do not often find on robots at this price. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. Although these features are nice to have however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury, which might make it somewhat more expensive than some homeowners need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is slim and tall and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the house. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the app's settings where you can alter the way the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map out your home. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor, or Quaker oats on carpet.
